Workshop Chaos

1) Tools and materials end up scattered all over the workspace. When working on projects, users struggle to find necessary tools for the task at hand.

2) Organizational needs change frequently. As a users needs change and grow, storage options remain stagnant. Users require a flexible option that adapts with them.

3) “Junk Drawers” become common within this community of users. Makers often leave miscellaneous tools strewn throughout, making it a challenge to effectively store and secure them.

1: Vertical innovation

By moving commonly used items onto vertically mounted pegboard, users can clear up space while simultaneously improving accessibility and visibility.

2: Flexibility

Creators require storage options that adapt to a wide variety of tools, materials, and needs. By implementing modular storage options like pegboard and drawer organizer inserts, users can change their storage system to fit their specific use case.

3: Security

Makers use a variety of tools, from heavy duty power tools to simple hand tools. This means users require sturdy and secure storage options that support anything within that spectrum. Utilizing stainless steel for the pegboard, frame, and drawers provides strength and sturdiness, and including locks on the drawer slides adds security.
